We started researching the John Stoddard of Wethersfield clan in the late 1970's. It began as an interest in finding out more about Clayton Stoddard, my grandfather. He passed away before I was born and none of his remaining children had a very clear recollection of him. You see, Clayton and Adehla, my grandmother, never divorced but Clayton was never home much. We interviewed Adehla before she passed away. Her memory was as sharp as a tack! What a great start she provided us. Over the years the remaining children provided bits and pieces of their memories of Clayton and today we have a much better picture of who he was.
Our love of genealogy and family history has grown into researching the other 4 major Stoddard lines in the U.S.
We invite you to share your Stoddard heritage and stories with us and to visit our website.
